You've got to get back in the saddle again...

So I've been MIA for a couple of years now and decided it was time to get back on the horse, bite the bullet, rip off the Band-Aid, etc. You catch my drift. The fact is, I've always loved to write and I have missed it. I find it to be very calming and therapeutic. So as long as I'm back at it, I might as well give you some good news. My favorite local restaurant is coming to Stockton later this year.  Here is there website.
PAPA URB's GRILL!!! Filipino food with a twist! I've been driving from Stockton to Tracy since they opened their doors in November of 2010. I am so happy to be able to frequent a closer location. It's going to be located in the Newberry building downtown.
But until then please enjoy these drool worthy pictures:

Yummy Turron for dessert!

Sisig Fries, Chicken Ado-bowl and Shanghai Lumpia

Wipe the drool from your mouth and continue on friends!!

You've got to long for the days of yore...

...or at least I do. I am so sickened by how dependant we are on mobile technology. And believe me I am the WORST of all. My phone is screwed up for the second time in a couple of months and I feel so lost. Pathetic...believe me I know! So I wish it were as simple as just longing for those days of yore, but alas we have come way to far. Such is life!!

You've got to Live like your Dying...

You've got to LOVE Costco...

I mean really, where else can you get 54 Kellogg's Rice Krispies Treats for $7.99?? And the answer is...Nowhere!! But seriously, my daughter Kendall is obsessed with this very snack at the moment. I myself am not such a fan. So here is my tip of the day...make them from SCRATCH!! Yes, I know it takes time and most of us do not have time on our sides, but trust me...your taste buds will thank you!! And it couldn't be an easier from scratch here you go direct from

3 tablespoons butter or margarine
1 package, (10 ounce, about 40) Marshmallows
4 cups Miniature Marshmallows
6 cups   Rice Krispies®

1. In large saucepan melt butter over low heat. Add marshmallows and stir until completely melted. Remove from heat.

2. Add KELLOGG'S RICE KRISPIES cereal. Stir until well coated.

3. Using buttered spatula or wax paper evenly press mixture into 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan coated with cooking spray. Cool. Cut into 2-inch squares. Best if served the same day.

In microwave-safe bowl heat butter and marshmallows on HIGH for 3 minutes, stirring after 2 minutes. Stir until smooth. Follow steps 2 and 3 above. Microwave cooking times may vary.

You've got to start somewhere...

So I've always been intrigued by the thought of writing a blog. Ever since I watched the movie, "Julie and Julia", which I happened to love, I have wanted to start a blog of my very own.
I like the idea of being able to write about anything I feel at the moment and there being a slight chance that it could peak the interest of 1 or 1 million different people. Who knows...maybe no one will ever read what I write, but just writing words brings a sense of calm in my otherwise CRAZY life! This blog will feature art, food, music, movies and most of all lots of my opinions!! What could be better... ;)
I love art...I am a self taught artist. It is my passion and the one thing I am truly good at without trying very hard. It comes naturally and that I owe to my grandfather, John Faselli. Check back for more from this Artsy Fartsy Kind of Gal. That's all for now!!
